CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION
Friendship House Clothing Bank is in need of baby clothes and children’s clothes. Especially as the weather has turned cold, the demand has exceeded our supply. Children’s coats, size 3T, 4T, 5 and 6 are very scarce, as are children’s shoes, boots, and socks. Clothing for newborns is always needed. The Friendship House is at 1603 Jessup Street, in Wilmington. For directions, please call the church office for information as to who to contact. Tax receipts and sincere appreciation are always available. “Many hands make light work”. . . Volunteers needed any day, Monday – Thursday, to sort and hang clothes at the Friendship House Clothing Bank. Come one time or come once a week; spend an hour or spend a day. How does it work? Just pick a day and spend 2-3 hours with us, or consider meeting a friend at CBD (Clothing Bank of Delaware), instead of Starbucks. One small company takes a day each month to work together at CBD and several professional associations gather annually. A Singles Volunteer group meets monthly at CBD in the morning and then have lunch together afterward. We’re always happy to host church circles and other group, who meet here for a morning or afternoon of service, in lieu of a monthly meeting. Please call the church office for details or directions. |
